Fund Accountant - Guernsey

With continued growth across the NSM Group, we are always on the lookout for bright individuals to join the team and we are looking for a Fund Accountant to join our Funds Company NSM Funds Limited, where we provide bespoke fund administration services to an array of sectors and fund structures, across multiple jurisdictions.

This is an opportunity for a driven and talented individual with relevant work experience to make a difference as part of a dedicated and growing team.

This highly numerical position will see you carry out day to day administration and accounting of Fund Structures under the direction of your line manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of day to day administration and accounting matters such as calls and distributions, quarterly valuations, monthly and quarterly investor reporting and annual statement preparation of a range of funds, management companies and associated fund structures within the team and liaise with clients and intermediaries on a daily basis.
  • Bookkeep all day to day operations of a variety of fund structures and preparation of periodic bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate records on databases of all bookkeeping and other related data.
  • Assist with the completion of routine audit queries.
  • Prepare manual and electronic payment instructions to settle entity expenses and complete investment transactions throughout structures including the bookkeeping.
  • Complete NAV calculations.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and external parties, proactively manage client expectations and turnaround times.

Skills, knowledge, expertise

  • Computer literacy skills are essential.
  • Very good interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients and business contacts.
  • Some technical financial services knowledge
  • 2+ years of relevant financial services experience, studying towards a relevant professional qualification (preferably having commenced ACCA or ACA), ambition and enthusiasm.
  • You are required to have the requisite Guernsey residential certificate/permit to apply for this role.
